When his kids went through the slamming door phase, he&#039;d quietly go upstairs, and remove the door to their bedroom for a week. 
The rule was that you don&#039;t get to abuse the house by slamming doors. If you have trouble remembering to keep it tempered down, he&#039;ll remove your door for safe keeping. With 6 teenagers he did it exactly 6 times. Once they lived without a door for a week, they were much more careful about slamming outbursts.</description>
